How To Cure Excessive Sweating Today And Avoid Embarrassment
Excessive sweating (also known as Hyperhidrosis) is often an embarrassing condition that affects a very small percentage of people in the world. It is estimated that less than 1% of all people suffer from this condition but it does not make it less of a problem to those affected by it. Many people do not realize they have this condition so the percentage could be much higher.
The reason people are so impacted by this condition is that it happens regardless of what your body temperature is or how you feel. When you sweat, your body is trying to regulate its own temperature. Excessive sweating is not controlled by this body function. It does not matter if it is hot out or you are in a certain situation. Some people have a Catch 22 effect… they get nervous about sweating which causes them to sweat even more than normal. But some of the other causes may be unknown to some suffering people:
• Cigarettes/Cigars (nicotine)
• Caffeine
• Beverages
• Food
Excessive sweating is most often noticed by occurring at certain parts of the body. The hands, feet and groin are most common which can make social situations uncomfortable. A list of the major areas are:
• Excessive sweating of the hands – (Palmar)
• Excessive sweating of the armpits – (Axillary)
• Excessive sweating of the feet – (Plantar)
• Excessive sweating of the face – (Facial)
• Overall excessive sweating – (General)
There is no known cause of hyperhydrosis but some claim it has to do with a disorder of the nervous system and stems from a brain function issue.
The biggest issue with this condition is not the actual sweating but the effect the sweating has on the person. The sweating prevents people from having certain types of job such as those which take place in stressful or very warm conditions. Even such positions involving interviewing, and shaking hands often are problematic for sufferers. People often try to combat this by limiting the amount of water intake which then causes even more issues such as dehydration.
There are several remedies that may help some suffers of this condition. As always this is not medical advice and any choices made should be made in consultation with a medical doctor.
An aluminum chloride (hexahydrate) solution can be used as anti-perspirant to help with the excessive sweating. Most anti-persperants have the aluminum chloride in them but at a quantity much less than needed by people who excessively sweat. While this may be a wonderful help for some people, many people do indicate an irritation from this aluminum chloride percentage. Also, this technique does not work for people suffering from excessive sweating of the hands and feet.
